Throwback to the Steering Committee in Dublin. Björn Siebert welcomed the participants to the SC meeting. He introduced the agenda and mentioned Phase II which would be explained in detail in upcoming slides. He also introduced new attendees and the presenters from Ireland. He shared the exciting news that we were celebrating the first-year anniversary of the MERIDIAN project.

Throwback to the Steering Committee in Amsterdam. After successful Steering Committees in Catania, Munich and Ghent, it was now to Amsterdam and
Rijkswaterstaat to host the fourth MERIDIAN Steering Committee. Monday the 12th of July started
with a joint lunch to welcome each other and catch up on recent activities at the Park Plaza Victoria.
Afterwards we all went up to start the Steering Committee with two task presentations.

Throwback to the Steering Committee in Ghent. On the 14th and 15th of March 2023 our Belgium colleagues welcomed us for the MERIDIAN Steering
Committee in Ghent. Two days packed with information from our harbour partners, knowledge
building and sharing on C-ITS, and a demonstration on intelligent pedestrian crosswalks for blind
people

A short introduction to the Meridian Project. The MERIDIAN project will foster digitalisation of the mobility system focussing mainly on the CEF Core Network Corridors ScandinavianMediterranean and North Sea-Baltic. This will be achieved by implementing digital systems and services along the busiest European freight corridors. The project will further target expansion of digital infrastructure, roll-out of CITS in central Europe, implementation of ITS for bottlenecks on open road and tunnels, digital corridor management and Multimodal Services.
